Wedding Band Workshop

$200.00

Craft a pair of wedding bands from start to finish in this private workshop. Metal options include sterling silver, or yellow/white/rose karat gold. No experience is needed, but good grip strength and hand dexterity is essential! You’ll be using traditional metalsmithing tools – including hammers, saws, pliers, and a propane torch.

This workshop is in two parts – the first part is a consultation with Miranda to choose the details of your rings, and the second will be the actual workshop to create them. Anticipate 30min for the consult and 4 hours for the workshop.

Cost of materials is separate from the workshop fee! This will be determined based on your choice of metal and ring width/thickness during the consultation. With today’s average precious metals prices, expect to start around $45 for sterling silver and $300 for 14kt gold for one ring. I do not add a markup to the cost of materials.

To Hold Your Workshop Date: Your class fee acts as a deposit that holds your desired workshop date, once you have decided with Miranda on when it will be held.

Cancellations and Refunds: Workshop fees are fully refundable, less a $25 per person cancellation fee for less than 48hrs notice. Materials, once purchased after the consultation, become yours, and are not refundable.

Booking Details:

-          A minimum of one month’s advanced notice is required to book, and a minimum of one week is needed between the consultation and the workshop in order to allow your materials to be shipped.

-          Your desired date for the workshop will not be held without purchase.

-          During peak market season (April-September), I am unavailable for at least two Saturdays per month – if you desire a weekend workshop, I recommend booking with at least 2-3 months notice, or I may not be able to accommodate you.

-          The cost of the workshop may be refunded if a minimum of 24 hours notice is given beforehand. Materials, once purchased, are non-refundable.
